Time to Fly! Week 5 Breakout Player!

Writer's picture: Faze ReportFaze Report

Okay…so there was so much hype about this guy coming into the draft. He was supposed to be the next great athletic tight end and have an enormous fantasy upside.

Fast forward to week 5 of the NFL season and this is his statline…

15 receptions /26 targets /189 yards /0 touchdowns/ 6 redzone targets

Kyle Pitts is getting the targets he needs per game but he’s just not capitalizing on them. That, mixed with a regression in play by Matt Ryan hasn’t helped much. But if there is ever a week for you to stick him in your lineup and go all in on this kid… this is the week… The Falcons travel to London to play the Jets, they’ll be going there without Calvin Ridley or Russell Gage. That leaves Olamide Zaccheaus as the WR1.

Cordarrelle Patterson was the sleeper that nobody talked about before the season…not even me… He is having a phenomenal fantasy year so far. The Jets defense is ranked 8 by nfl.com fantasy against tight ends. But if there was ever a time for this kid to shine, it’s now…it is now Mr. Pitt’s to show us what you got…are you what they said you were? Or are you the 2021 Fantasy bust?

I believe the kid has great upside and and I predict he’ll have his 1st 20point fantasy game this week. If you have him, start him…if you don’t, it may be a good time to trade form him because he’ll probably be real cheap right now. Either way I hope he does well.

And remember the game starts at 6:30 a.m. Pacific time…Yikes, I’m gonna need strong coffee! Good luck this week!!
