George Pickens is a rare breed, he tore his ACL in college , recovered, and months later played in the National Championship game.
Pickens was selected by Pittsburgh in the second round of April's draft. He's is a
6'3 vertical receiver who almost always plays outside.
He's the real deal, he runs great routes, has good speed and a knack for getting open
and oh ye his hands are amazing, this guy catches everything, he's already dazzling fans in training camp with crazy catches. Most of his damage has come down field (career 14.2 aDOT) and he's shown good hands (two drops on 142 career targets) and ball skills. Pickens has some discipline issues, but he's only 21 years old and can develop as the No. 3 behind Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool.
Hes already listed as WR3 on the Steelers Depth Chart
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin downplayed Pickens being listed with the starters on the team's initial preseason depth chart, Steelers Depot reports.
Asked if it's a testament to Pickens' work at training camp, Tomlin responded, "No, it's just the fact that I have to give you guys a depth chart."
His ADP is 287 and I think he's underrated.
But because of the Steelers QB Situation
he is hard to target in the draft.
Pickens is definitely one to keep an eye on and for sure,
Steeler Nation... You have a Star in the making!
If he's there in the late rounds 10-14 he's worth the risk.
