Some weeks playing daily fantasy can be very difficult and others not so bad.. This week I’m gonna show you how you can find value at running back with great upside.
Damian Williams– Chicago Bears FanDuel $5800
With David Montgomery out for the next few weeks Damian Williams is gonna be the new workhorse in the backfield for the bears… In weeks 2 and 3 David Montgomery’s rushing percentage was 94% and his target share was 17% those are great numbers. Damian Williams will definitely benefit and pick up the bulk of all of those targets and carries. Damian Williams is more than adequate to carry the Bear’s backfield while Montgomery is out. This week he has a match up against the Las Vegas Raiders which is ranked 27th in the league against fantasy running backs.
James Conner– Arizona Cardinals FanDuel $6300
With Chase Edmonds still nursing a sore shoulder James Connor has been lighting it up. He’s a total beast at the goal line and the Cardinals give him plenty of opportunities in the red zone. He has a great mix of value and volume and there’s no reason he should be slowed down this week as he faces the 49ers who have 17th ranked defense against fantasy RBs.
D’Andre Swift– Detroit Lions FanDuel $6900
‘Swift has had a lingering groin injury most of the season but it hasn’t affected his ability to play on Sundays and I don’t anticipate anything different this week.. Swift is going against a Minnesota Vikings defense that is ranked 25th against fantasy running backs. Swift averages 10.5 carries per game and 7.25 targets per game. Swift gets plenty of opportunities and considering the match up he’s a great value play this week.
Honorable mentions
Tony Pollard– Dallas Cowboys FanDuel $5600
The truth is Ezekiel Elliott is probably going to play this weekend but he is a little banged up. In any event the New York Giants have not been able to stop any running backs this year as they are ranked 21st against the run. Tony Pollard is great out of the backfield as a receiver and should get a fair amount of touches. But at $5600 if you’re looking for a value flex Pollard could serve that roll this weekend.
Samaje Perine– Cincinnati Bengals FanDuel $5600
With Joe Mixon probably not playing this week it should be easy to say that Perine is a no brainer. But Cincinnati’s OC Brian Callahan has already said that he plans on using a running back by committee approach while Mixon is out… so I would not trust any of the Cincinnati running backs just yet.
